In the paper the results of investigations of metal surface destruction , plasma formation and evolution on exposure to quasi-continuous pulsed laser under high pressure (up to 1.6 MPa) of ambient nitrogen are presented.

High-quality YBa2Cux0,\_-6 films were prepared in situ by laser ablation on SrTiOs ( 100). on MgO ( 100) and on Si ( 111) + Zr02 buffer layer. We especially investigated the influence of the substrate temperature. In similar preparation circumstances zero resistivity has been achieved for films on S
