Abstract
The influence of surface fields H~p~ (generated by core currents) on the parameters of M–H loops (the coercive field H~c~, the maximum magnetization M~m~, etc.) of amorphous and nanocrystalline Fe~73.5~Cu~1~Nb~3~Si~15.5~B~7~ ribbon and amorphous VITROVAC 6025Z ribbon has been investigated. In amorphous Fe~73.5~Cu~1~Nb~3~Si~15.5~B~7~ ribbon H~c~ decreases with H~p~ with unchanged M~m~, whereas in nanocrystalline Fe~73.5~Cu~1~Nb~3~Si~15.5~B~7~ and VITROVAC 6025Z ribbons H~c~ increases with H~p~ and M~m~ decreases with H~p~. This unusual increase of H~c~ with H~p~ is ascribed to the influence of H~p~ on the surface domain structure (SDS) and strong interaction between SDS and inner (main) domain structure (MDS) in these materials.
