## Abstract The lubricating ability of a grease depends on both the base oil and the thickener. As a result of their intrinsic properties and/or because of their comβpatibility with thickeners and specific additives, base fluids have different influences upon the properties of grease formulations.

The effects of lubricating-oil additive zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP) on the friction and wear properties of polymers and their composites sliding against GCr15 bearing steel were studied by using an MHK-500 ring-on-block wear tester (Timken wear tester). Then the frictional surfaces of the fri
## Abstract The paper addresses the problem of how the thermoβoxidative changes in the chemical structure influence the biodegradability of lubricating base oils. The tests were conducted using synthetic polyolesters, polyalphaolefins (PAO 4) and blended polyolesters with 30βwt % of PAO 4. Oil biod
In synovial fluid, hyaluronic acid (HA) is an essential component for the lubrication of joints, thus preventing friction. The relationship between HA and joint friction is not unambiguously established yet. In the present study, the effect of the application of HA on the frictional coefficient in t
