The regeneration of fixed bed catalytic reactors has been simulated using a pseudo-homogenous model. The influence of a number of variables on the temperature rise has been studied. In particular the effect of coke content and composition have been determined. It was found that fixed beds with serie

Regeneration of a coked fixed bed catalytic reactor has been carried out with different initial coke profiles representing the extremes of parallel and series coking. These coke profiles were determined by a non-invasive method, namely neutron attenuation. The temperature peaks obtained on regenerat
