Barangamide A has been isolated from the sponge Theonella swinhoei, collected at Baranglompo Island, Indonesia, and the structure elucidated by interpretation of special data and application of Marfey's method. Barangamide A is a cyclic undecapeptide possessing three N-methylated amino acids, three
