Recent experimental measurements show that eroding long-rod penetration velocity is a linear function of impact velocity over a very wide range of impact velocities and for an interesting range of rod-target material combinations. These experiments all show that U ΒΌ a+bV, where U and V are the penet

β¦ Synopsis
In PSA we distinguish two kinds of models, the stochastic model, which is conditioned on a number of parameters, and the state-of-knowledge (SOK) model, which reflects our knowledge regarding the numerical values of these parameters. Possible dependences that SOK distribution includes (i.e. SOK dependence) have nothing to do with CCF.
When modeling a SOK dependence a multivariate prior distribution should generally be applied. This paper focuses on the question of how SOK dependence (independence) is affected by the updating operation. Some cases (SOK independence and identical components) are discussed. It is shown that even when SOK dependence is not taken into consideration a priori, it might arise numerically as a result of a current SOK distribution updating by new evidence.
