โฆ Synopsis
During the last 15 years, society has been overwhelmed by the medical, social, and psychological impact of AIDS and HIV. One aspect of this issue is AIDSโrelated loss, and the correlative epidemic of AIDSโrelated bereavement. Individuals are considered particularly susceptible to such bereavement when loss is multiple, as is often the case in the gay male population. The research exploring the impact of AIDSโrelated loss is reviewed, and counseling implications for working with individuals experiencing multiple losses are suggested.
