The absorption spectrum of NO1 has been recorded within the tuning range (7 GHz) of the single-mode argon kser tine A = 5 145 A. Using a well collimated NO2 molecular beam it was possible to resolve the bfs splitting and to determine for several transitions the hfs splitting in the excited B2 state.
