The dead time of an ESE spectrometer has been shown to affect the position of the line maxima in ESEEM spectra. The hypertine interaction parameters for "N nuclei in BChl a+ radical cations have been improved with the aid of numerical calculations of the envelopes and spectra of ESE modulation.
