There is growing concern in some US business community circles that the federal government is not actively and aggressively pursuing development of hydrogen through renewables according to Jeremy Rifkin, author of The Hydrogen Economy. However, he warns if that pursuit takes the form of developing hydrogen power by using fossil fuels and nuclear power, the US "could be a second rate power in 30 years." ~o ~ ~i !~, Refocus US correspondent, recently spoke with Jeremy Rifkin about his views and what he sees as the main challenges that lie ahead in a future hydrogen economy.
