Having grown up in the local orphanage, Rolland always asked what every other orphan likely did who found themselves spending years there. Why was he there? Unfortunately, each time he asked, the woman who ran the orphanage just answered him by holding up a sign saying that she was busy and he should go play.
After his eighth birthday he stopped asking. Besides, he had a feeling he already knew why his parents hadn't wanted him...he was completely deaf.
Twin vampires Dartanian and Bryce aren't ones to enjoy humans unless they're doing so feeding from them or in bed. So, when their parents decide to bring home a human boy to try and tame their more deadly sides, the brothers can't help but find the little experiment to be humorous... and the test subject, delicious.
