Technically, this hardbound volume is as beautifully prepared as the previous volumes in this series. The quality of the paper and the illustrations are excellent. There are very few typographic errors and the index section appears to be modest but adequate. In general, this is a fitting collection of papers to honor one of our modern pioneers in otolaryngology but it cannot be recommended for the general practicing otolaryngologist. It should find is readership among those primarily interested in otology and head and neck oncology. The book warrants addition to general medical and ORL department libraries.
