✦ Synopsis
In order to improve the properties of the as-grown fibers, thermal annealing cycles were performed in both cases at 830 'C for 20 h in air. The samples were quenched in air after each thermal annealing cycle.
Characterization of lhe magnetic properties has been performed by mcasuring the in-phase x'(T). and out of phase, x"(T) ac susceptibility components, using cylinders with the fiber diameter of -0.8 mm and a length of 6 mm. Measurement conditions included low-frequency (120 Hz). temperatures ranging between 4.2 and 120 K, various intensities of the ac excitation field (11,) and different relative orientations of the fibers (11 and 1). On the same samples, DC magnetization M , , ( O (ZFC and FC runs) and isothermal hysteresis cyclcs (at 15 K) were measured.
