โฆ Synopsis
This paper deals with the phase behavior of the heliumnitrogen system from 77" to 50ยฐK. The phase behavior investigated was the lower region of the liquid-vapor area, the S-L-V locus, the S-L, and S-V areas. To establish the reliability of the experimental technique, an isotherm at 77ยฐK. was compared with reported data.
In addition to providing more extensive phase-behavior data on the helium-nitrogen system, the data wilI contribute to the meager understanding of intermolecular forces and of phase behavior in general. Further, the data will 20,4 atm.7 64 to 116 static 111.5 118.5, 122.8 static 100, 105, 110, 115, 120 * Data presented in the form of a temperature vs. mole percent helium in liquid per atmospheric partial pressure helium plot.

This report presents more extensive experimental vapor-liquid equilibria data for the helium methane system than are found in the literature. A static sampling technique was used to obtain vopor and liquid compositions for six temperatures between -180" and -85ยฐC. and pressures up to 2,000 Ib./sq.in
