Using data determined in the cryogenic laboratory of the University of Leyden, where recently a temperature only a fraction of a degree above the absolute zero has been attained, the authors have calculated the value of L, the heat of vaporization at the critical temperature, for the monatomic gas neon. In the table T represents the critical temperature.
