Abstract
In recent years, noble gas plasmas in magnetic fields have been investigated. Experimental results for the Hall coefficient have been made available. We compare these with results calculated using linear response theory in the Zubarev formalism. In this work, we investigate the possibility of using Hall voltage measurements to determine the electron concentration of partially ionized plasmas. (Β© 2007 WILEYβVCH Verlag GmbH & Co. ## Abstract We report the great progress in the physics of dense strongly coupled plasmas that has been achieved over the past decade. Driven by ambitious inertial confinement fusion programs worldwide, matter at unprecedented high energy densities is generated and studied at various research facil
## Abstract The exploration of atomic properties of strongly coupled partially degenerate plasmas, also referred to as warm dense matter, is important in astrophysics, since this thermodynamic regime is encountered for instance in Jovian planets' interior. One of the most important issues is the ne
