## Abstract Cubic GaN nanoparticles and nanorods have been successfully synthesized from the nitridation of nanocrystalline GaP at 500 Β°C for 30Β min, by manipulating different heating rates in nitrogen. The results of the thermal stability studies of nanocrystalline GaP under N~2~ at different heat
