✦ Synopsis

The fractional and total thermodynamic values AC", AH" and AS" are calculated for the electrochemical formation of various stage graphite hydrogenosulfates (GHS) from pyrographite and 18 M H,SO,, based on emf measurements of the GHS/ISM H,SO.,/Hg,SO,/Hg cell. The disagreement between our results and the previous work of Aronson et al. is explained.
