Although many of the contributions are necessarily brief, the book is wide ranging and this is its most appealing feature. It is not recommended for those who are particularly concerned with the specification of forecasting equations, or sophisticated computer modelling. The section concerned with the actual statistical procedures is necessarily limited, though useful to the newcomer. In conclusion, the book is readable and provides a welcome contribution to the library of the professional manager and business academic.
