✦ Synopsis
The glass-forming ability and the thermal stability of Ni-P alloys rapidly quenched from the melt has been studied mainly by Differential Scanning Calorimetry, Differential Thermal Analysis and X-ray diffraction. It has been shown that glass-forming occurs in the phosphorus concentration range 18-22 at.%, situated asymmetrically to the eutectic point (19 at.%).
