The Orkfit Basin of western Hungary is well known for its early Jurassic Mn-carbonate deposit that is related genetically to Jurassic black shale formation. This carbonate deposit has undergone multistage oxidation during the Cretaceous that produced secondary Mnoxides. Among the geochemical charact
