โœฆ Synopsis

The general solution of the stress intensity factor of a finite cylinder containing a concentric penny-shaped crack under torsion is obtained by use of the Hankel transform and Fourier series in this paper. It is easily verified that the results of a penny-shaped crack in an infinite long cylinder and in a circular plate of infinite radius can be derived from the general solution in the present paper.

In this article, we shall provide the mathematical analytical method for treating the problem of a concentric penny-shaped crack off the middle plane of a finite orthotropic cylinder for mode III. Without the traditional assumption that the cracked-body is infinite, the general solution to the mixed

In this paper, it is proven once again that the stress intensity factor of a penny-shaped crack at the interface between two different layers in a transversely isotropic solid is independent of material constants, and that both K, and K, cannot appear at the same time if the interface crack is subje
