## Abstract ## Background. The benefit of a complementary fluorodeoxyglucose‐positron emission tomography (FDG‐PET) scan to standard workup for carcinoma of unknown primary (CUP) and metastatic neck lesions was prospectively studied. ## Methods. Sixty‐seven patients underwent standardized diagno
