✦ Synopsis

We report fluorescence studies of perylene in multilayers of Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films using the time-correlated singlephoton counting technique and absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy. Evidence is presented for complex kinetics caused by the presence of isolated perylene molecules and dimers perylene. These results demonstrate the aggregation ofperylene molecules in LB films.
