✦ Synopsis

In β€’937, Peer and Paddock [3]

stated that the dermis graft "has gained little popularity because of the theoretical possibility of cyst formation from sweat glands, hair follicles and sebaceous glands remaining in the dermis." The formation of cysts, albeit of microscopic proportions, is a common finding after the second week of insertion. The natural history of these cysts seems to be a spontaneous dissolution in the overwhelming majority of cases, as happened in the two cases presented by McGregor in 1991 [2]. In the rare case presented here, there was no such spontaneous dissolution.
