The Faraday effect for sodium dissolved in EDA indiutes D magnetic moment of about one Bohr mqrteton for the excited state involved in the 650 nm absorption. Comparison with results for iodide ion s&?&W a structure for the 650 nm band. A simple connection bctwcen cllipticity and derivative of absorption is pointed out and used in analyzing the data.
