Far-ix. spectra of crystalline isotactic polypropylene (IPP) in its various polymorphic forms have been recorded over the range 500-100 cm-'. Differences in the spectra, in particular the splitting of certain A line-group modes, reflect the environments of isolated IPP chains within the particular unit cell configurations of the crystal forms.
