Eight years have passed since the destruction of Earth. Most of humanity has come together to form the Galactic Charter. Marshal has questions about the alien race, the Sceptri, and the answers he needs may be what brought him to the planet.

Violetta Iolanda has made a life for herself and has put the days of a professional killer and bodyguard behind her. Just as she is about to settle down for good, the monsters of the future bring their ship to her. For them, Violetta is the key to finding Marshal, and they must hurt her to draw him out.

In a story that spans time and space, Marshal and Violetta must once again rise to the challenge of standing in the way of those who would destroy all humanity has worked towards.
