✦ Synopsis

This organism is undoubtedly the same one used by the previous investigators and variously labelled Colpoda cucullus and C. steinii. This confusion in identification has been pointed out and clarified by Taylor and Furgason, Arch. f . Protistenk., 90, 320-339 (1938).
