Generalizing the model of the spinning Dirac electron with zitterbewegung, we give a theory of spinning strings, membranes and p-branes in curved background spaces of arbitrary dimensions. The dynamical variables are surface coordinates x~(~ ~) and a single c-number spinor z(~A). We use a phase spac
