## Abstract A method has been developed for the rapid construction of protein alpha‐carbon models from a continuous length of metal rod. Selected side groups can be attached, and the scale is continuously variable from 20mm/Γ… to 4mm/Γ…. At the smaller scales, models are self‐supporting.

Simple sequential model for the kinetics
✍ Elliot L. Elson πŸ“‚ Article πŸ“… 1972 πŸ› Wiley (John Wiley & Sons) 🌐 English βš– 954 KB

A simple sequential model is developed which is applicable to the kinetics of melting of some types of oligomeric helices and as an idealization to the kinetics of unfolding of some protein molecules. A procedure is presented for calculating the concentrations of all conformational species as functi

## Abstract Using computer simulations as a tool for thought experiments, we investigate the influence of the helical backbone geometry in the association process and the final structures of a simple model which mimics parallel, two‐stranded coiled‐coil proteins. We define three types of helices: t
