โœฆ Synopsis

Let a(n) be the gre&est possible sum of the entries of a Hadamard matrix of order n. We derive n na 2-m 0 tn < a(n) f wh which implies Besides, u(n) is evaluated for n < 24 and several other values of n.

Four Turyn type sequences of lengths 36, 36, 36, 35 are found by a computer search. These sequences give new base sequences of lengths 71, 71, 36, 36 and are used to generate a number of new T-sequences. The first order of many new Hadamard matrices constructible using these new T-sequences is 428.

Hadamard matrices of order n with maximum excess o(n) are constructed for n = 40, 44, 48, 52, 80, 84. The results are: o(40)= 244, o(44)= 280, o(48)= 324, o(52)= 364, o(80)= 704, 0(84) = 756. A table is presented listing the known values of o(n) 0< n ~< 100 and the corresponding Hadamard matrices ar
