Streptomycin-dependent (SMd) mutant strains of Salmonella typhimurium TA98 and TA100 were isolated. A highly sensitive detection system was obtained by using these SMd derivatives for the SMd leads to SMind mutation. The system was available for testing the mutagenicities of samples containing histi
