✦ Synopsis
The equations-of-motion method has been used to study various electronic states of F2. The transition energies have been found in both the random phase approximation (RPA) and higher random approximation (HRPA) using single pxticle-hole components in the excitation operators. We have also computed generalized oscillator strengths (Born cross sections) for the scatrering of high energy electrons by F2.
