## Abstract Distribution, morphology, and orientation of superficial neuromasts and polarization of the hair cells within superficial neuromasts of the goldfish (__Carassius auratus__) were examined using fluorescence labeling and scanning electron microscopy. On each body side, goldfish have 1,800
