Unfortunately for her, her father doesn't care about what she wants. He's determined to nurture her potential for his own gains. Her life is once again forcefully re-directed when their carriage is knocked off the road by a madman who wants to sacrifice her to power a spell.
Lou is saved, in an unexpected way, but she's got another problem. She finds herself stranded in a forest she doesn't recognize with no idea how to get home. A forest full of dangerous creatures who'd love to make a meal out of her.
