โœฆ Synopsis

This article describes an "electronic classroom" consisting of a network of 55 powerful Apollo DN300 workstations running the BALSA algorithm simulation and animation environment. Several examples (parameter passing and linked-list manipulation) from an introductory programming course are briefly discussed, and some conclusions about the user interface are drawn, based on participant observation and student responses to detailed questionnaires.
