## Abstract Cell cycle progression is dependent upon the action of cyclins and their partners the cyclin dependent kinases (CDKs). Each cell cycle phase has its own characteristic cyclin‐CDK combination, cyclin D‐CDK4,6 and cyclin E‐CDK2 being responsible for progression through G~1~‐phase into S‐p
