The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of occlusion of a tracheotomy tube on aspiration utilizing fluoroscopy. Twenty consecutive tracheotomized patients referred for a modified barium swallow were included. Selection criteria were ability to tolerate tracheotomy tube occlusi
