The plant growth regulators, indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and gibberellit acid (GA3), were tested for their effects on spore germination and cellulase (B-1,4-endogluconase) production by Trichoderma reesei. The addition of 10 -5 M IAA or GA3 enhanced cellulase production, whereas higher concentrations were inhibitory, both to spore germination and cellulase production.
