โœฆ Synopsis

The strength of adhesively bonded cylindrical components was affected by the various factors, which are diametrical clearance, type of assembly, type of adherend, operating temperature, loading type, surface roughness, etc. In this study, the effect of three different adherend (steel, bronze and aluminium) on bonding strength was experimentally investigated and the results were discussed. The experiments were carried out for both static and dynamic loading conditions. The highest joint strength was obtained in bronze adherend while the lowest value was obtained in aluminium adherend.

The bonding strength of adhesives is influenced by the interference fit, bonding clearances, surface roughness, adherent and temperature. Since all these factors affect the strength of the adhesively joined parts, the effect of these parameters was investigated experimentally by the researchers. The

The effect of the amount of adhesive for bonding face sheets and cores on the bending fatigue strength of aluminum honeycomb sandwich beams was analyzed. It was experimentally proved that the fatigue strength increases as increasing the amount of adhesive. Furthermore, the applied loading parameter
