✦ Synopsis

MANCHESTER ROYAL INFIRMARY

'THE choleretic actions of bile-salts are well known. 'That the choleresis produced by sodium dehydrocholate was associated with an increase in hepatic blood-flow in dogs was shown by Schweigh (1931) and was more extensively studied by Grodins, Osborne, Ivy, and Goldman (1941). The present study was undertaken to investigate the effects of this substance on the hepatic circulation in man.
