The problem of an edge dislocation in the vicinity of an elliptical inhomogeneity is solved analytically in the form of infinite series. The inhomogeneous inclusion is assumed to be either perfectly bonded or sliding along the interface with the surrounding matrix. The problem is formulated in terms
