Saccharin has been found to possess an antiprothrombic effect is ~i t r o ,
but it is inert to thromboplastin and to thrombin. Lithium ferriheme shows an antithrombic and anticoagulant action. Saccharin administered orally had no effect on prothrombin time and showed no antagonism or synergism with dicoumarol.
