✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Prolactin in the dosage schedule employed affects the metabolism of zinc‐65 as indicated by a reduced uptake of this isotope by most tissues examined following the intravenous administration of Zn^65^Cl~2~. In this study, however, no evidence was found of a direct effect of prolactin on the prostate in the intact adult male Chacma baboon.

Male ACI rats were treated with estradiol to induce hyperprolactinemia and pituitary hypertrophy and hyperplasia. Male Wistar rats were exposed continuously for 1 or 2 months to 25 or 100 ppm CO. The concentrations of noradrenaline in the hypothalamus, corticosterone and thyroxine in serum and of adrenal catecholamines were estimated. After exposure to 25 ppm CO no significant changes were observed in the serum

Hypogonadism is a major manifestation of zinc deficiency in both humans and animals. In this study, we try to elucidate the main role of zinc in regulating the testicular function. Ninty male weanling albino rats were divided into three groups: control, zinc-deficient (ZD), and zinc-supplemented (2s

## Abstract Male rats (25–26 days of age) housed with 14 hours of light per day (lights on 0600–2000 hours) were either olfactory bulbectomized (rendering them anosmic), bulbectomized plus pinealectomized (Pinx), or left intact. On the day following the operations, intact, anosmic, and anosmic‐Pinx

Male Wistar rats were exposed continuously for 1 or 2 months to 3.5 ppm NO2. Levels of histamine and serotonin in lung, noradrenaline in hypothalamus, corticosterone and thyroxine in serum and catecholamines in the adrenals were estimated. No significant changes were observed in lung histamine and s
