In this paper a method will be given for the determination of the refractive index of compressed gases. Results of measurements on CO2 up to 2400 Atm. at 25 ~ , 32 ~ , 50 ~ and 100~ and X=6678, 5876, 5016, 4922, 4713 and 4471 ~ will be described.
