✦ Synopsis

The solubility of phenobarbital in alcohol with varying p H has been determined. The data should make it possible to determine the approximate solubility of phenobarbital for any p H and any alcohol concentration up to 50 per cent. T h e data indicate that it is possible to prepare phenobarbital solutions which have both good stability and solubility using minimal amounts of alcohol if the p H is adjusted.
