The photochemistry of aqueous solutrons of iodide and bromide is investigated in the presence of high concentrations (2 x 10m2 M < C c 1.2 M) of nitrous oxide. In the iodide system, the photo-oxidation yfeids depend markedly on [N20]. The effect is attributed to the scavenging of solvated electrons
## Abstract The kinetics of the pit nucleation in iron in borate buffer solution containing bromides and iodides (0.01 n–0.5 n) has been investigated, and the results have been compared with those obtained for chloride solutions. It has been found that the critical pitting potential, E~cp~, decreas
