The effects of the molecular weight of polypropylene, nucleating agent, and types of stabilizers on the grafting of methylmethacrylate onto polypropylene sheets were examined. The oxidation of polypropylene sheet surfaces exposed to air after irradiation was studied by measuring survey scan spectra

โฆ Synopsis
The โฅ-radiation-induced graft copolymerization of 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4piperidinyl methacrylate (TMPM) onto polypropylene (PP) was investigated using a simultaneous-irradiation technique. The effects of solvents, atmospheres, dose, and monomer concentration on the percent of grafting were studied. The grafted TMPM showed better thermal stability, solvent extraction resistance, and compatibility with PP than monomeric TMPM or polymeric PTMPM. The stabilizing effectiveness of grafted TMPM on the radiation resistance of PP was found to be better than that of monomeric TMPM. The combination of grafted TMPM and low molecular weight hindered amine light stabilizers showed higher stabilizing effectiveness.

## SYNOPSIS Methyl methacrylate was grafted onto polypropylene films using gamma radiation. Effects of different parameters, such as radiation dose, inhibitor concentration, monomer concentration, and type of solvents on the graft yield were investigated. It was established that the graft yield de
Talc-filled polypropylene (PP) composites coupled with silane-grafted polypropylene (PP-g-Si) were prepared. Effect of PP-g-Si on the mechanical properties, crystallization, and melting behavior of PP composites was investigated. Compared with the uncoupled composites, the mechanical properties of T
