โฆ Synopsis
The theoretical background of the FEM program system developed by the authors for analysing stability of fluid conveying pipes is presented. Parametric studies concerning the effect of damping and non-Lagrangian coupling by means of feedback control are made. The effect of feedback control can be either stabilizing or destabilizing, depending on the damping model used.
